paypal cc upgrade to world mc

so i login in today and notice my card no longer says paypal cash back mc it now says "paypal cashback world mastercard" .... ive only had this card for maybe 2 months not even .... not sure what triggered this as i have not gotten any cli on the card

Synchrony has done this before, and there's a big thread about it here , from a couple of years ago. Nothing changes on your end (there are a few perks that come with a "world" version of the card), congratulations!

I went ahead and checked and also have it. Could you tell me where the LUV bottom is? Can't find it. @mfinsmi1

Just checked and me too, so wonder if it is part of the refresh.  I always thought it was odd that my card with a CL of $25K was just a plain old MC, but it didn't really matter.  So, for me, neither does the change!

Yep it changed with the new rebranding userface it seems. No redirect to Sync.

@YasselifeCouldnt find it either. Its still on the PP Credit page thats redirected to Sync. The MC stays on PP. Did a search from the Help button. It list a Smart Collect PLOC CLI.

But clicked on the CB Rewards and found this nugget. Not bad for just over 3 yrs.

@Yasselife so with the way paypal mastercard goes thru paypal now and no longer links to the sunchrony website there is no love button anymore which is really sad .... you now have to directly call to ask for a cli .... i have been looking for the luv button myself since i got the card and this was the concluison i made

@mfinsmi1FWIW. Just checked my card when I got home. Went on MyFICO and it was opened 04/29/2019. It has World on it. So dont know when they didnt give a world. But the wording on the new site in bold sure says it. My memory doesn't remember what the old site had.

Yes, right from the beginning there were some who received World cards and some, like me, that didn't.   The question is whether the card has really changed status or is this just a web site thing.   Looking at my credit report sheds no light, it reports as "credit card" as does my other World and one of my World Elite (the others report as flexible spending).

@Anonymous  Yes. When my BJ's card was upgraded to World MC, replacement card had world on top of MC logo!
