I've had nothing but terriable customer service
When I called to activate the rep was so obnoxious selling credit protectionI hung up

Then when I called to have my due date moved so that my statement to fall on the first, like I've done with 3 other cards, they said no can do.

Then I signed up for automatic pay, they make fill out a form. I pay with online savings, I have no checks, so sent a message ask if a direct deposit request form would do, got back a cut and paste answer.

Most cards unfortunately have their reps offer the credit protection though I have yet to see one who was obnoxious about it.

Even with WaMu's shortcomings, as far as moving the payment date, they are still one of my favorite cards.  Most of my cards payments must come from a checking or money market account with check writing privledges.

The online statements could use a bit of improvement but, they are still rather young.  I'm sticking until they give me a reason to leave.

I wasn't aware they gave out Visa cards (MC from what I understand).

Yeah, they do - I opened my account in May. I kept receiving pre-approved offers in the mail for the WAMU Platnum Visa - about two each week for almost two months.  I applied when the APR was below 10% (the APR was ranging somewhere between 24 to 9%) - I'd open the envelope, look at the APR then shread until one said 9% - I kept that one on the desk to see if they'd get any lower - after a few weeks I applied via USPS before the expiration date.  I truly like the card.  I haven't had any problems with customer service or billing.  The FICO score was a plus because I didn't know it came with the card.

I hope you enjoy your card. Smiley Happy

Re: wamu calling

Would there be any significant difference between a WaMu Visa and a MC?

I don't really know much about the WAMU Master Card.  In fact, I didn't know they offered one until your post.  I've only received information on their Visa card.  Maybe someone more familiar with WAMU can pitch in with details on the differences with the two cards.

...sorry I couldn't help with the answer.
