TU will have no scoreable Inqs in May.
EX and EQ will have a few left until Aug. 2021
Most of these are now unscoreable/24
ETA: Several HP's were for PL's and CLI's on current CC's.
I used this as a reference point for the "25+ New accounts within 14 months." as I do not keep a spreadsheet
I remember @credit_is_crack and @credit_endurance having some really awesome spree's.
(I am sure there are a few others.)
Any significant drop in your score when this happened?
My first spree I have done was for 5 cards in 2014. I got the USAA rewards card, chase freedom, chase Amazon, Citi thank you preferred and then was denied for the double cash. I closed the chase Amazon for low limit(didn't know about transferring limits then). 2017-I did 2 card spree savor and double cash. 2019-another 5 card spree and last 5 card spree I will ever do-apple card, USAA rate advantaged(closed), eBay(closed), Walmart, and denied on the 5th chase Amazon and that's how learned about 5/24 by searching on the net and it brought me here. I did do a 2 card spree earlier in 2019 before the 5 one-I got 6 new credit cards last year. 2020 I did 3 card spree and it was a struggle to meet the spend to get the sub due to COVID-19. I won't be doing sprees ever again. Im going to be a one and done kind of girl from now on. Sprees are kind of exciting.

@Conceptual23, Not really, I had already taken the full Inquiries hit.
I also took out a NFCU SSL, So that boosted my scores, since I had no auto/mortgage loans for credit mix.
My scores have actually been steadily rising. (I was under 700 on all 3 Bureaus, when I started hard APP'ing)
By May, most of the inquiries will become unscorable, (TU will be 0/12)
Just sitting under 800 on all (3) Credit bureaus. EQ is a tad lower than EX and TU is my highest.
When I started my AAoA was 8+ years. I am currently at 2.6 years on EX and EQ. (and will be 2years 7months Dec 1st)
AAoA is a little older on TU, as HSBC does not report my 2 CC's there.
I think when all the Inqs. become uncscorable, AoYRA becomes 1 year and AAoA hits 3 years.
That should put me over 800 FICO's easily. I wanted to take all the score hits early on,
then let everything age.
I am sure I will apply for a few select cards here and there, but nothing like what I did in the past.
Edited for typo spelling error (AoYRA)

Nice! The fear of a massive score drop has been delaying my app spree. I'd like to add a few accounts prior to the end of the year so I can can garden the majority of 2021.

At some point you hit a wall where there really isn't much of anything left that is appealing or lucrative enough to bother applying for.

I only have 7 cards and I already feel like I'm pretty much at that point. After the Freedom Flex, the only cards left that I want are ones I definitely can live without and I'm not really that excited for them, and wouldn't be too heartbroken if I never got them.

That's such a variable place for most of us. It just depends on our spending patterns and amounts, lifestyle, and desire for complexity in most situations. Some feel having more than two or three cards is too much. Others don't tire of managing many more but also may have high levels of spending to put them to use without a lot of effort. I like having the diversity of cards so I don't mind having some complexity. But with my existing limits and patterns of spending, I could probably be quite comfortable with about half a dozen cards if I wasn't optimizing rewards and perks. Top of the list would probably be one general purpose premium travel and dining card like my Chase Sapphire Reserve Visa Infinite. And then one general purpose cash back card like my AOD FCU 3% cash back Visa Signature. And probably one super-low APR card like my Navy FCU Platinum Visa for emergencies or balance transfers. Whichever others I picked could fill in around those based on lender diversity, network diversity, rewards, credit limits or perks. Even with utilization padding, I probably only need a fraction of the $500K+ total credit limits I have now. Maybe one day I'll downsize again but for now, I like having my options.
