C'mon its got that funky USB C now.
That would be a change as all 3 legacy carriers traditionally always hard pulled when someone applied to open up a new post paid account. If you had credit issues they might offer you what was in effect a secured post-paid account where you would pay an initial deposit ($500 IIRC) and they would open the account. If you maintained a perfect payment history for 12 months the deposit in its entirety would be returned.
As for USB-C, nice move even though the EU mandate was a strong incentive but not a game-changer.
Last year this time, I switched to TMO from VZW and didn't get hard pulled, FYI.

That's the iPhone 12.

@CreditCuriosity wrote:Also to add if you have iphone 13 or greater don't bother upgrading as just burning money. This was likely the most disappointing "upgrade" I have ever seen. I don't see AAPLE making record sales this year with lack luster new offering.
I prefer USB-C. All my iPads are iPad Pros using USB-C. It would really allow me to cut down on the cables I carry on business trips.
Still not buying the 15, though.

LOL
Just switched up Iphones Tmoible 13pro went to my Verizon account and the 14pro went to Tmobile....I have to say not impressed and battery seems to die quicker on the 14 pro vs 13 pro....I may hold off on the 15 pro now

I'm on that quick upgrade TMO program...whatever they call it...and I skipped the upgrade from my 13 PRO MAX to the 14 PRO MAX and plan on skipping the 15, as well.
@firefox100 escribió:As a blind person the I phone is great phone the operation makes it easy to use voice works like charm that is why I stay with Apple but this kind of bs just makes meed mad. First thing I would have no problem with credit approval for a new service as I said before I don't want a hard pull why can't Gs let carrier know that you have good credit and you make payments on time. I like the older connector better, does any know if USB C connector can go in eather way.
@firefox100 Yes, the USB-C is reversible. Honestly, it is, objectively, superior to the Lightning cable in almost every way. It's stronger, faster, and much more compatible. This is a big part of why the EU was comfortable designating it the only specification that would be permitted on portable electronics sold within the EU's territory. This is what forced Apple's hand to abandon the Lightning specification, in the first place.
That said, I don't think I would consider it enough of a value-add to go out and buy the iPhone 15 because of it, but that is fully subjective.
Thank you for letting me know that USB c goes in both directions, I am glade that I have held buying the Iphone 15, it has over heating issues, they are going to try and fix the problem with Software updates.
Question, I was in an Apple store today and was told that I could use my apple creditcard to purchase the Iphone 15 and when the charge posts to the account then call GS to request the purchase to be put on a payment plan. Is the above info correct this work around, not to go with one of big 3 carriers.
