Can Experain do this? Help please

I have been working with my mortgage company on getting my loan added back onto the Experian report after it had just disappeared. Today I pulled the report and not only did they add my mortgage but they also added 4 other accounts that I had disputed a long time ago and that were deleted because there were not mine and belongs to my exwife. These 4 accounts say now that they are JOINT with my exwife.  I was going to dispute them again but when I did it has a pop up that says these are special accounts and you can not dispute for that reason, you must call experian and speak to a rep.

Can they do this?  Do I have any recourse?     Any input or help would be great.

Update..    I called and spoke to Tommy at Experian about the 4 accounts that were added back to my report. He said that the only thing I can do

is redispute them. And that the CA can rereport at anytime. These  accounts are all medical and I am sure there are some laws on reporting of these.

If anybody can give me any insight or help that would be great.   BTW  these account were deleted about 8 months ago.  Thank you

There is a downside to disputing with OC's & CRA's. You have no control over what they do.

As you know, under Section 611 you are required to notify me not later than 5 business days after the date of reinsertion by any means available. YOU FAILED TO NOTIFY ME and are now in violation of federal law.

Therefore, I am requesting you delete the item (s) and permanently block it/them from being reinserted in the future.

The items that were reinserted were as follows:

#2 (List item reinserted)

I will expect this matter to be resolved within 30 days.

Thank you!!! That is a HUGE help.. Does it matter if they were medical bills or not?  And with the guy from experian telling me that the only thing I could do is redispute the items was a lie?    Again  Thank you

Hi there, it does not matter. What they did is wrong. I have a hard time dealing with experian as well. We are all here to help each other so I'm glad I could do the same for you. Let me know how it turns out.

Today I got an update on the 4 disputes. Experian said that THEY verified the account and it remains unchanged.  How did they do this in less than two days?   I did redue the sample letter above and mailed it certified today.  Is there anything else that I can do.  Thank you

Yes, send them an MOV (method of verification).  If you ask they are required to tell you how they verified your accounts.

Should I wait to see what happens to the first letter that I sent them yesterday?

I would not wait.  These are two different issues that need to be dealt with.

They reinserted something and did not let you know and they need to tell you how the verified.
