Cap 1 Has changed Policy !

The August third Washington Post had an article that stated Capital One from this point forward was reporting credit lines. An industry source also speculated that the change could increase some individual credit scores by 40 points. Cap 1 according to the article will report this change to all three credit bureau's.

Not yet. I checked my sister's TC about an hour ago and her Crap1 still shows as it has before. This has been talked and talked and talked about for months now. Who knows when it will actually happen...if ever.

"From this point forward" is inaccurate. It will most likely take another month or 2 or 3 before this change will be reflected on most credit reports.

Re: Cap 1 Has changed Policy !

Capital one is the worst CC company I have ever delt with. They pray on the ignorance of others, and the non-reported credit limits just show how awful they are. That and their fees are outrageous--did you get anything in the mail over the weekend about the recent hike in fees? Capital one is totally in the sub-prime business.

They do have a prime banking arm but they weren't doing biz with me. Capone sucks plain and simple. If they do report limits it ain't cause they want that's for sure. I closed my account a couple months ago. Nice colors when burning.

I read today that it is in progress and should become effective by the end of the year (which probably means sometime into next year)!
