Capital One reporting

DP: Capital one reports 2 days after statement close.

I just recieved a notification that my reported balance was not reported until August 1st which is 20 days past said reported date of 2 days after closing date,  they are telling me that is the CRA's that are messing up and not pushing it out when it is suppose to and to contact the CRA about the reporting. I told them the CRA can not report until they push it out first so either they reported late or reported 9 days early on this closing date that just happened cause my balance now is now at 4896.00

Re: Capital One reporting

I don't think that Cap One actually disclosed as to when they will report, but from previous experience with Cap One, they report shortly after statement closing.

Re: Capital One reporting

The long and the short of it is both Cap1 and the Credit bureaus are going to give you the run around even when they make mistakes. I believe that legally they have 30 days to correct "mistakes" anyway, so there is little in the way of "making it up" that you will be offered since they did update within 30 days.

Also, is that balance correct or incorrect?

Re: Capital One reporting

I just noted this last month as well. I called in and was asked if I wanted to dispute BUT since it didn't ding my report I just let it be. I am keeping on eye on my reports this month to see what happened.
