@SecretAzure wrote:I logged into Credit Karma today, as I do every Friday, and received a popup letting me know that now the TransUnion score is now being updated daily. This is cool stuff. It's still a VantageScore 3.0 score but it remains a great, free, way to quickly identify funky things on your report. Not much else to say, just wanted to let the community know.
Note: EquiFax is still updated weekly.
Logged into mines today and still the same. Guess they will get to me later. Said it before and have to say it again...Would be nicer if it was Equifax they were doing it with. Trans and Experian frequent updates can be accessed through many more places unlike Equifax.
@Anonymous wrote:Yeah EQ is really the outlier. Lots of people get their free daily TU report updates from WH and plenty of others get daily (not free) EX report updates through Experian memberships. I don't know of any daily EQ report update sources, unless EQ itself provides a similar cost-service to what EX has. Would be nice to see a free source of course.
Maybe with CK improving to daily TU reports there's a chance of them also providing daily EQ reports at some point in the future.
It's encouraging to see @KLEXH25's report in Post 2 above, that they've apparently been beta testing daily EQ updates for a year or so. CK: if you're reading this, please note that releasing that unique feature to the masses would increase your traffic. C'mon! Get those clicks!
CK still has not granted me daily updates for either bureau however yesterday -- unexpectedly -- they alerted me of a credit check while it was happening (MyFico, WalletHub, etc did not) and pulled my Equifax report along with it. So now my TU was last updated March 12 and Eq March 15.
I feel like they may have done this during my car loan application last July also? Curious whether this will have TU & Eq update at different dates in my account or whether they'll realign to the single day. Or you could just give me daily updates. ![]()
I finally got the pop-up stating the TU score will be available to view daily now.
Now we'll see if EQ will end up following suit.
While CK is 'updating' daily for me, it is still a day or two behind Wallet Hub in posting balance changes to my credit cards or any other changes. Recently my Ollo card posted a mid cycle update on March 17th. I learned of this first on Wallet Hub then MyFico a day later and CK just showed it this morning. They noted the change as of March 23rd. So they may be updating daily but still at least a day behind other sites.
I look at CK or WH primarily to track activity since the Vantage scores aren't really used by credit card companies. My vantage scores jumped 42 points last month after I paid two collections and had a PFD on the 3rd. My vantage scores are misleading as they are now running 50 to 75 points ahead of Fico 8. Vantage shows zero collections since they're paid now and also has a lower average age of accounts because they don't include closed accounts in that metric
Still interesting to look at the activity on WH and CK but I don't much pay attention to the score. I'm also getting a weekly update on the TU vantage score thru Credit Wise on my Capital One card.

This is a nice change for we credit enthusiasts. I have been getting daily TU scores & reports from a CU for a while now. The VS3 score updates are of limited utility but I like being able to see when new info hits one of the bureaus, in near-real-time.
Also, there is at least one use for the TU VS3 score. US Bank uses it to determine eligibility for their Because You've Earned It program.
Edit: Changed thread title to indicate this change is for some users, per info reported down thread. Turns out some people have had this for months, others don't have it yet. Apparently it's a phased roll-out.
@Curious_George2 Well it appears that I am now included in the daily update "phased roll-out change is for some users" group.
As I was checking CK today I got the popup notice. Was feeling a little left out.
Now if I can only get included in the "My secured Cap1 card just became UNsecured" group (3 years 3 months waiting) I would definitely have cause to Celebrate.
I recently just got this notification too. I want to say it was within the last 2-3 weeks. Only for TU, though. Like others, daily EQ updates would be more beneficial.

@OmarGB9Definitely agree. " daily EQ updates would be more beneficial." Trans and Experian updates are all over the place but EQ is severely lacking.
This must still be phasing...just checked and I'm still not getting it daily! My next updated report is next week so we'll see what TRANSpires...
Credit Karma just started offering the free daily TU scores for me last week. While I obviously do not rely on it for scores, I'm not sure I'm really getting daily updates as they claim. My TU has almost no reported activity for April. I pulled my annual report this morning and everything is in fact up to date. So while they claim I get daily updates, I think it is not yet in effect for me because it is quite behind.
