Re: Experian

Thank you!  I just tried it and got confirmation of the correction within an hour.  They will also mail me an updated report.

Email is the way to go, although I wouldnt recommend bombarding the same guy with emails - especially since he isnt the correct contact on these matters.

Re: Experian

I used the email to contact Experian because I need to get some action. I'll let you know what happens.

Re: Experian

I used the email to Lundy and got a response that they couldn't use electronic response because it isn't secure.

The lady's name is Anna Simpson and she deleted a judgement in two seconds that I have been working on since 2002.  I am amazed.  I faxed my other stuff directly to her.  I am waiting to here back.

I'll update later.

Re: Experian

Any help would greatly be appreciate!

I agree with the poster who suggested we should not all email or use the same contact person. Are there any alternate contacts ,supervisors or email addys to use?

I have been dealing with EXperian and Asset Acceptance all morning and I will need to dispute thoroughly in writing. Asset is reporting as a "account" under the type "installment", when it is a old collection account. They are also reporting a "make believe" DOLA. A Ex rep. claimed to me that there are only two types of accounts "installment" and "revolving" and that Asset could report it a installment, because it once was a installment acc. with the OC.( which it was not).

I finally got through to another EX. rep who stated that if it is a collection, it should be listed as that type of account. The first rep. who gave me all the wrong info. was basically talking out the side of her neck, and would not dispute a item, because she said I had disputed it before under the same area, for ex.(ownership, status). This was also not true, I had not disputed it before under any "area". When I spoke to the rep. who gave me the correct information , she also said I was able to dispute the item I had just been denied to dispute; however, I just told her I will do it all writing so that I may be precise and exact in the dispute.

Are we able to dispute with the myFico report when disputing in writing? Anyone have any information on types of accounts.(Open, Installment, Revolving, Collection ) ?

Re: Experian

A lady named Anna is the person that called me back as well. She left me a voicemail msg without the last name, but I suspect its the same person- Anna Simpson. I was shocked to hear that voicemail when I returned from lunch! I stored it electronically just in case (we have this high tech voice system). I wrote Lundy and Anna replied. You can try emailing her. Also, I read in another thread that credit boards has a thread with lots of high level contacts at EX.

Re your dispute: I didnt get an EX report # to dispute,I just said I saw the item on my "credit report". To dispute online you need a report number, but not for a direct communication- faxed/emailed/snailmail letter. Make sure to send them copies of your letters to the OC and/or CA. I also like to site the relevant FCRA regs in all dispute letters so they know I mean business! I spent a lot of time researching the regs relevant to my situation. Some people say to keep it light on the threatening language, but in my case, the items were so egregious, and I was so angry that they could just ruin my credit health through their own negligence, I was prepared to sue all parties- OC, CA, and EX if they didnt correct the items asap. EX is seriously the pits- IMO, it helps to let them know up front you know your rights, especially if they are clearly in the wrong....

Re: Experian

I used the Lundy email and got an auto-reponse that email wasn't secure, blah blah blah.

I did use the number and spoke with Ms. Simpson.  Never have I had such good customer service in my life.  I didn't have a confirmation number for a report because I have been dealing with this for YEARS off and on.  She was extremely helpful.

I would imagine that the contact number will change soon, but also that the number of complaints are going to cause their level of customer service to change.

I really thought after reading all of the garbage people have dealt with and Experian that I would have to wait forever for the stuff to just drop off.  The judgement literally disappeared in minutes today and after I faxed the documentation to her today and called back after lunch, it was gone to.

God bless this board and everyone involved.

Anyone involved in trying to make a buck off of credit repair should have an inquiry per dollar added to each report TWICE.

Merry Christmas!

Re: Experian

I desperately want to remove 4 inquiries from my Experian  report. I don't know if I should dispute via email or snail mail.
