I got an alert today about a new tax lien from Equifax's credit monitor system. I used to use their service but that was a couple of years ago; for some reason still get the alerts via email and they always match my credit reports. I run all 3 daily through USAA. Once I received the alert & after my heart slowed down, I ran my report today and nothing about any tax lien on any of the 3. Does anyone know if USAA is ever behind? Does that make sense?
I think this is bogus but can't really start anywhere of I can't see what it is. I did have an IRS lien in 2006 that was just withdrawn a month or so ago from TU & EX. It was never on EQ. I am tempted to go to Equifax and buy the stupid report as this is making me wonder if I'm getting hit with identify fraud because I can't think of anything it could be. Or wait a day and see if it pops up on tomorrow's report? But why would it be on one monitoring system and not the other?
I just got the same alert from SW for a withdrawn tax lien. Lien was originally filed in 2006 but was withdrawn last November. Mine is for a state lien and I just checked my EQ report and it isn't showing
