yesbi understand your point of the auto dept being different. But I guess what I'm trying to say is how stupid they are because one part of their company will give me something based on my actual credit worthiness, while the other has me in a bucket. I guess their auto dept doesn't have a bucket system and goes by what the client has in regards to score and income and tests them fairly.
There is a post (11-01-2017) to this forum with the Subject "Credit Card Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) and why some subprime card never grow or graduate" that explains the situation regarding Capital One bucketed credit cards. https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/General-Credit-Topics/Credit-Card-Asset-Backed-Securities-ABS-and-w...

@Mrsell wrote:I have 750-774 credit scores, never have had one bill from them with a balance because each time the card is used I pay it as soon as the balance appears on the capital one app, been almost a 2 year client of capital one starting with a measly 500.00 credit limit with last year got increased to 600.00 so just for giggles I did the offer they sent me about being prequalified for an auto loan and they want to offer me 61000 dollars but will only increase my credit limit from 600.00 dollars to 700.00?
They trust me with all loan of over 60,000 but won't give me a credit limit last 700.00? **bleep** are wrong with those people? Anyone have any insight into this? I get offers from other companies cards all the time for up to 10k limits. What is wrong with this picture?
Sounds crazy right? See attached links to pics for proof. Any insight on this?

In one financial application, you fit within a criteria to financially carry a long term loan with them, in which they will earn income on each and every month, provided you make payment. Clearly your financial picture shows you are more than capable.
In the other scenario with the credit card, you are considered a financial bum, like many of us that don't utilize unused cards. If you pay off the card monthly, that shows reliability, but it doesn't benefit their organization financially. The truth is that in this situation, they don't need you, or I, because we don't contribute to their bottom line.
Don't take it personally. I have dozens of these little guys, and each and every one of them are situational. I mostly only use them for welcome offers.

This! OP is showing the classic MyFico symptoms of overblown emotional reaction: "they need me more than I need them" Um, probably not! And to go f themselves. Again, they won't care or even notice.
Listen to what people are saying: two completely separate companies under the same parent will have different policies and can come to different conclusions about creditworthiness, especially if one is using a bucketed product where nothing will change. Don't get too hurt about it, get a different credit card if you want, almost certainly not from Capital One.
And while I understand this is a credit card forum, there are far worse things going on in the world than "My card won't grow but they give me a huge loan" type issues. Channel some of the anger towards them!
They do need me more than I need them, I can buy the car outright in full in cash easy peazy. The only true purpose of the loan would to go on my credit history as a paid auto loan and nothing more as previously last year I got a 70k auto loan from my bank chase and paid it in full within 8 months and certainly can do that again with no issue. But yes I will take it out on them and cancel my card today. At least chase treats me with the value I deserve with my credit limit and loan offers. Not like capital one that lowballs me on my credit card but treats me like a king for an auto loan. So altho yes to your point they won't care which as you said is true, but again doesn't change the fact that they need me way more than I would EVER need them.
