ayla2007 GW is a Goodwill letter, not something like a PFD. The last thing one wants to do when at the point of a GW is to act entitled, as that will most certainly result in no response or a denial
ayla2007 wrote:"I have read repeatedly on this forum to never send a GW letter certified, because it can seem very pushy."Thats B.S. advice you received (an acronym from the vernacular there) as far as I am concerned. This is business. Money. This is not a family reunion or Band Camp. This is YOUR credit rating, and you need to act to protect it. "Pushy" has absolutely nothing to do with protecting yourself in a business relationship. If you do not act to protect yourself, who is going to do it for you? No one, that's who.
I don't think anyone here thinks that CC co's are friends. As far as how you personally would choose to send a GW letter, that's certainly your own prerogative but please don't tout it as absolute or sound advice because it's not. It would be nice if it worked that way in the real world but it doesn't.
ayla2007 wrote:Enough! Quit pretending that credit card companies are your "friend." Just because you call it a Goodwill Letter doesn't mean someone on the other end is getting all misty-eyed reading it. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with sending it certified or registered mail. This is a financial BUSINESS. Treat it like so.
