Some banks have been using the FICO9 version instead of the FICO8. This is a YMMV situation, but gives you a general idea of which bureau would likely be pulled for an app with one of these banks. If you had DP's to share reply and I can update the matrix. This list is designed for personal card apps.
Several other factors apply and vary by lender (inquiry/new account sensitive, income, forgiveness for bad behavior, total available credit, age of report, your state residency, etc.) -- this is just to share what they are most likely to pull based on reported data points.
CALL-OUTS:
- Capital One: Many users have posted Cap1 success stories, but I could not find enough DP's on which versions they tend to pull. Some users have reported the FICO3 version being used so I've noted that. If you have DP's for Cap1 please reply to the thread and I'll update it accordingly. We definitely know they pull all 3 per application
Yep, Experian Fico3 score range 325-850 on Feb 22, 2020. (For the Wal-mart MC)
I am out of North Carolina... Will Avant only pull Transunion for me if I apply with them...??
Macy's Amex and Store card pull Experian for California.
edited the title to keep the thread on track.
Hello. my spouce remove the list here on MyFICO of which credit card companies pull from which credit reporting agencies? Could someone please, please post a link to that? Thank you very much. Stay safe.
Here ya go:
Thank you for taking the time to make this! Definitely a YMMV situation as far as which banks pull from what bureau. Also depends on where you live.
Just an example: USBank is known to pull TU9. However, when I applied they only pulled EX8 (I live in NY)

Yep. EQ for me in Louisiana.
Hi All! I hope everyone is well and staying safe out there. I've been crazy busy with work with everything going on, but I had a little time to go thru the recent notes (and approvals) and updated our list. Here is what was added/changed/updated
Thanks for continuing to add your DP's on the thread!

- +Alliant Credit Union
- +Bank of Missouri, they service the Ollo Mastercard
- +BECU CLI's
- +BMO Harris
- +Commerce Bank
- +Jovia Financial Credit Union
- +RBFCU
- +Redstone FCU
- +TD Bank
- +United Nations FCU
- +Capital Note, reported to use Fico 3 version
- Updated Citi, this one really varies based on the state you're in and the card you apply for. They seem to be consistent on specific cards but for Citi I'd plan that any of your F8 versions could be pulled, and sometimes it's a double-pull
- Updated US Bank, this one is similar to the Citi note above. They are heavy with HP F9 but they have been venturing out and pulling EX and EQ F8 versions
Thanks for continuing to add your DP's on the thread!
Also, I noticed a lot of BMO Harris approvals stated they didn't have a HP. Is this normal? Or is it something based on when you apply or thru a prequal option? I did find that TU is who they pull when they complete a HP, but there were more approvals showing "I had no HP on any CRA"
