I figure it's just a matter of days or weeks before they shut me down too. Smiley Sad

Don't pull more than two three times a month and they won't cancel you.

Re: TrueCredit Users' Accounts Terminated for "Excessive Use?"

tell me this--because I'm still trying to figure out patterns in the system:

As you pulled TU everyday, eventually hard inq's would fall off--maybe you realized this, or maybe not. But was it ever the case that you would apply for credit, tu would be pulled, and eventually those hard inq's would fall off?

What I'm saying is, did you apply for credit where TU was pulled in the midst of pulling your report every day? I'm wondering if it sets off an alarm because users obtain credit, new inquiries post to TU report, and then after pulling reports everyday for so long those newer inquiries drop off.

Could it be that tu thinks users deliberatly tamper with the scoring system by pulling everyday because they apply for credit frequently and always get the inquiries removed via constant pulling?

I am just curious

Rifleman, that was one of the side efects of the system and you could not only successfully 'bump' TU but equifax as well using their system.  Of course people used it for that purpose.  Once the side effect was reallized word spread.  That being said, since TU also knew it was a side effect of the daily credit repot access, they were somewhat responsible for offering 'all you can eat'.

Had this side effect not been known they probably would have been short a few thousand subscribers.Smiley Very Happy

At the same time, they have no right to make blanket accusations of the intention of any users of their service.  There is a such thing as innocent til proven guilty.  I used to pull daily with no hards showing on either EQ or TU showing smply because I was making a lot of changes to my credit file in the midst of repair and wanted t see my results as soon as possible.

How do you even update your report?  I just joined for the 30 day free trial and I can't find anywhere to update. It's still showing yesterday's report.

Also does anyone know what the charge is if you sign up for all 3 reports during the 30 day free trial?

Re: TrueCredit Users' Accounts Terminated for "Excessive Use?"

yeah me too--I pull everyday to see changes to my report--If inquries disappeared, that was just incidental. The whole point of it is to monitor you credit EVERY DAY, because changes happen to my reports almost every day, and it's seldom that 2-3 days pass and there isn't at least one change SOMEWHERE to my report. I have truecredit for this purpose. Just today I discovered an old account was reporting new late payments from years ago. If I didn't have the service, I would not have been alerted to that and would not have disputed, and months would pass and then I'd loose track of things.

I see the daily monitoring as important. Yes, it costs $15 a month, and myfico costs $9 a month, but I'm willing to pay that cash in order to have credit piece of mind.

For those of you that don't knwo how to update--click on crdit report, then look on the right side of the screen, there is a hyperlink that says "update" click that

OH, and I might add: that new major change that occured to my credit report today has not been detected by scorewatch as usual. I really wish that lousy Scorewatch product would detect things in a timely fashion.

Was it the 9.95 one? I just spent 30 mins on the phone with them raisig sand cause a link from PenFed to their site caused a pop up on exit saying you could get the 3in1 product for 9.95 with a 30 day free trial.  Figured what the heck and when I entered my info, was signed up for some stupid single monitoring service.  Ofcourse I read the T&Cs again with everything going ong here and it clearly described the 3in1 produt. Even my email said so.Smiley Mad

Called special handling and got the freaking run around and told them to cancel it.  Says thi product was never offered atthat prie.  Told them they should stop having pop up chat boxes when you exit promising something they wont deliver at a 'special price'. So mad I cant see straight.  Oh well only wantd it for the month cause I have a lot of updates coming.

Re: TrueCredit Users' Accounts Terminated for "Excessive Use?"

Brammy,

It was the 9.95 one, I thought it was all 3 but of course when I logged in it was just TU.  I clicked on the get EX link and it brought me to a page offering all 3 for 14.95.  Since apparently the 30 day free trial is just TU  are they going to charge me 14.95 anyway if I want all 3?  I think I'll just cancel in a couple of weeks as I am waiting for some disputes to clear with them...Everyone here hates TC but I figured I'd at least get the free month.

National City is under $10 for all 3. I am using it. I like Chase a bit better but it's $2 more each month. Chase uses a larger font. lol.
