Well I wonder how long I have. I only pull about 3-4 times a month. Wish some big news agency would make a big deal out of this. Get some negative publicity might make them think twice about how they advertise their product.

I find this service a bit odd for anyone to use because it doesn't provide accurate scoring information and the online dispute methodology is poor.

To say the score is not accurate is the same as saying the FICO scoring model is not accurate.  Depending onthe lender and thescoring model they use, will depend on the accuracy.  TheFICO scores you get from this site give the classic FICO.  You never know if your lender is pulling classic, bankcard enhanced, or a million different variations on the score.

The main use for TU is to monitor the direction of your score that, plus in my case, knowing that I had a lot of changes about to happen on my reports, ensuring that all three were reporting the accounts and related balances andstatuses acurately.

Maybe the credit bureaus are not making a lot of money by letting consumers pull that many reports a month.

And you know the credit bureaus wants to make money.

Re: TrueCredit Users' Accounts Terminated for "Excessive Use?"

It is possible that TC in their messed up wat really believe that ll of the people who are pulling reports frequently, re committing fraud.  No doubt some are trying to alter records in whatever way possible.  The problem with that logic is that in making blanket accusations, they are not taking into account the wide customer base that uses the product.  Someone like my Mom, with nearly perfect credit would lonly want an alert when soemthing changed on their reports.  Someone in the process of rebuilding like many on this board, will be fascinated with the changes in the credit scores.  I know I fell in love with mine when uit became tolerable to look at them.  Soemone hungry to move into prime would also probably be a frequent puller trying to determine just which combination of factors help or hurt their scores the most. (Like me).

My biggest problem with TC is tht fact that they arbitrarily suspend and accuse people of fraud withoout recognizing that the customer base varies greatly. No consideration to the customers motivation for even purchasing the product, what is more insulting is that it seems they give no consideratin to their own culpability such as sending me 13 alerts in 13 days and fowled up software that did not allow to see what the alerts actually were wihOUT pulling the report.  Even so I only pulled 5-7 times.

That being said I think there is more going on than TC is letting on.

I think TC's problem is simple. They advertised unlimited pulls, even using the verbiage "every day if you want" (check their Website, those words are still there), and they are now canceling accounts because customers are using the product exactly as advertised and pulling scores daily.

Legally, I don't think TC has a leg to stand on.

(this is the link to the USA Today reporter)

Does anyone know if this story has already appeared? I would hate to miss it, but the last time that I read a USA Today was when I was out of state watching a daughter's college soccer game.
