I have a collection account that is due to fall off my credit reports in June, 2011.
Do things typically fall off the beginning of the month or the end of the month?
If I were to check my credit the middle of June, for example, would it still be there?
Thanks
It can come off any time in June. Give them until the end of the month.
I was told two weeks ago from experian that mine would fall off on March 23rd I just checked and it's still there.

March 23rd isn't over yet!
Give it a few days. Breathe in. Breathe out.
It's gonna feel great when it's gone, huh?
lol thanks...Did my time Just want my credit life back.
The specific wording of the FCRA is that they can no longer be reported after expiration of the relevant period. For a collection, if the 7 years plus 6 months period from DOFD expires in 6/2011, it could still report in 6/2011. Deletion would begin as of 7/2011.
Under FCRA 623(a)(5), the OC does not report a day/mo/yr of DOFD. They only have to report the month and year. So expiration would be at the end of the month.
Well it's April 1 and it's still there...Man I hate Experian
