When is it safe to asak for CLI with Amex??(or is it ever safe)

I have been an AMEX cardholder since June of this year. Would anybody say it is safe to ask for a credit limit increase? I have already undergone the whole FR experience!!

If you passed FR. ASK for it now! NO! DEMAND IT NOW! You will get it. I would ask for a $24,900 line. For some reason people have been able to get this instantly. $25,000 gets decline's more often then not.

Since you've already passed, I'd hit it (the luv button that is) and make sure you ask for a huge increase!!! Let us know the outcome.

I hit it last week only asked for a 1500.00 increase and got it. I havent went through a FR yet, but it doesnt matter, I told the truth on the app.

Do you really ask for that much as a increase?

What is FR? My wife has an amex card with a $2,000 limit but would like to get it increased. She's only been late once so I am going to send a GW letter, we were moving at the time. Thanks!

i've had my amex for about 1yr w/ a $2,500 limit. they gave me 0% so i have had it max'ed the whole time.

in the last month, i paid it down to 29% to boost my score, then i asked for a 24.5k limit, and i got it!!!!

i wish i had asked for the limit increase 1st, then i wouldn't have had to pay down my balance
