After years of trying off and on, I have an EQUIFAX report! Sadly, it us out dated, shows only some student loans, and old collections. None of my current information or good accounts. This is going to be a project. I hope that my credit cards can report now, and will try on their next statement dates. 🤦♀️

Unfortunately it sounds like you have a split file.
They're known for it. I tried to tell them that. So at least the CFPB got me part of my file... now to see if I can't get the rest. Before, there wasn't anything at all.
I don't think it's any coincidence that fewer and fewer lenders make use of Equifax's services considering their utter failures at doing the basic job of managing credit reports and accurately reporting the information they do take in. They literally have one job and they suck at it. Everyone knows they suck too.
Unless you are looking into a mortgage or are looking to get approval from an FI that you know uses EQ I wouldn't even waste my time.
Unfortunately, I'd like to buy a house in the next 12-18 months. I am still appalled by the hot mess that is my equifax report....I am waiting for my CCs to report this month to see if they hit that file.

Oh dear, well with your mortgage being a year+ out you might be able to get the problem resolved in time...They truly are the worst of the worst. On the bright side they are almost single-handedly the reason for the passage of the Fair Credit Reporting Act in 1970. Their unsavory behavior is literally how they have behaved since the beginning and the only reason it ever gets better is when new laws get passed that make them do the right thing. They are all that way but EQ especially takes it too far. Good luck on getting the resolution you need.
