Recently I've been trying to join a credit union but kept getting denied because of my name showing up on ChexSystems. So I got a free copy of my report and the only thing it says on there is that on 11/30/2010 it was reported for "account abuse" by Wells Fargo Bank. This makes no sense because I have always banked with Chase and have never banked with Wells Fargo or have done any business with them... How do I dispute this? I understand that the report gets deleted after 5 years and from the date this was reported it should be off record here in a month.... If I dispute this, will it update and take another 5 years to get deleted from my report?? This is ridiculous!! Thanks!!!!
