Nusenda and Langley Membership help

Looking to join Nusenda credit union as well as Langley federal credit union for two of their 5% back cards!

I've read some forums about people applying but want to get some specifics on HP's when appling for memebership. And the best way to join/apply for cards. I cant take two HP's one for membership and one for the actual app.

And help on how thigns work at both credit unions would be greatly apprecited!

Re: Nusenda and Langley Membership help

@Wavester64thanks for the call up, voila!

@semajz2  Nusenda is fairly easy to join but with a couple hurdles to jump. If you are out of geo, you can join the La Montanita food co-op or the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance. LM requires a check to be mailed into one of their stores and a particular employee who manages memberships will process and send back a membership card, then you would contact Nusenda with the card in hand. NMWA should be the easier option with a normal web interface. There have been some recent DP's for membership approvals via NMWA, but there have been times in the past (like when I applied a couple years ago) when that was not accepted if you were out of state. No HP to join (not for me anyway), unless I may have missed new DP's. It's a solid rotator, worth going for. If you want to know a bit more about my experience applying for and being approved for the card, check my post here.

@semajz2,

The Nusenda question was answered in detail.

IIRC, Langley was a SP to join .. fairly straight forward.

They are somewhat sensitive to too many new accts/ lots of inquiries. ..IMO

Some people love them / others not so much.

ETA: Definitely a HP on Equifax for credit products.
