Hi All,
Wondering if anyone is a member if Service Credit Union and has applied for thier personal line of credit. I am considering joining since it appears it goes to 50k, but i like to know what bureau and what scoring model they use in advance since mine have quite a range and can affect the rate. My FICO 8's and 9's are in the 800's across the board but scores like my FICO 2 Bankcard for example on Experian is 728. I assume this is becasue FICO 2 doesnt like new accounts? Whatever the case, I am pretty surgical with my applications and like to know what they are going to see before I apply.
Any idea what they use for which products? Thanks!
Brian

Hi @DenverFox , They recently switched to Experian FICO10
From my Service CU log-in.
"The FICO® Score pulled on 03/01/23 is the FICO® Score 10 based on EXPERIAN data, your score will be updated quarterly and is the same score that Service Credit Union uses, along with other information, to manage your account."
Just pulled a fresh one since I opened 2 new credit cards lately and it looks like my FICO 10 is 768. That's REALLY helpful information, thank you! They are still processing my membership so once I'm in, I'll just wait another six months for the new accounts to cool off before I apply

@DenverFox, That score should be just fine.
As a side note, most credit unions are not new account / Inquiry sensitive.
I am a member of 35+ Credit Union's ..and only had a problem with maybe two.
You can read a few approval's here, with many new accounts when I applied.

Post mistakenly got edited. But I'm a member of a few dozen CUs and I'd be happy to provide DPs for anyone who needs.
