Debt Collector Validation Letter Incorrect

Hi! I had three credit cards charged off in May 2019. Only two of the credit cards are listed on my CR. My TD Bank CC is listed as a balance of $0 on all three credit reports. My citibank card shows a balance outstanding. Neither of these two accounts shows up as in collections.

I received a debt collection letter from Radius Global Solutions trying to collect debt owed to Cavalry SPV I, LLC. The dispute deadline was 12/18. I sent in a DV letter but they did not respond. Then I received a debt collection letter from Cavalry Portfolio Services with a dispute deadline of 1/28. Calvary did respond to my DV letter but they sent two random statements from TD bank. One was from 2018 and 2019.

The DOLD on this validation letter was June 2020 which isn't correct. Also, this account is showing different charge off dates on all 3 CR. In the debt validation letter, it said the SOL has passed so they can't sue but will continue to collect the debt.

Has anyone gone through similar experiences?

Re: Debt Collector Validation Letter Incorrect

Sure, those statements are good enought to prove the debt is yours. As far as the 0 balance that means they sold it to thye debt collector. Since collections from 2019 can still be reported it might be a good idea to settle with them in exchange for not reporting the collection. The CO dates should be within a few months of the actual. If they are not updating monthly I would just leave them alone, if updating you can contact them to try and get the correct date reported.
