@Anonymous wrote:Spoke with mortgage company regarding my auto loan. They said that I could refinance or trade-in. The inquiries will not cause a problem. A new auto TL will not cause a problem as long as my payments go down. Currently looking for help getting this payment down. It's from a tote the note dealership. Nice car, but very high mileage. Roughly $19K left, 63 payments, 22.5%. I know. So stupid.

With the Repos gone, you should be able to get a better auto refi deal if you're not too upside down on it - you might have to sweeten the deal with some cash, or even do a trade in...
Thanks, Norman.
I'm upside down in it, of course. Mileage is super high. I'd sweeten the deal, if need be for sure! FICO auto score was at 650 today. We shall see!
I was under the false impression that Child Support was not used in calculating FICO scores. I have a feeling that I am terribly wrong, regardless of what is mentioned about it not being used in the calculations.
I have 36 late payments showing on my Child Support account on all 3 bureaus. It'll be september before those payments begin to tick off one each month FOREVER.
My only saving grace might be...in January of 2014, I settled off the books with child's mother. I can't remember if, on the affidavit of direct payments, we show a one time lump sum payments or HOPEFULLY we show the monthly payments.
Once summertime rolls around, I'll know for sure whether or not the late CS payments are effecting my score. Should have everything else cleared up by that time.
1/11/18:
Just a thought.
After reading for an hour or so about how child support effects credit scores, I subscribed to Experian CMS. While flipping betwen the 3 bureaus, and comparing scores under the score ingredients tab, I might have stumbled upon something. It is saying that I only have 1 account that has ever had a 30+ day late, and one account that has ever had a 60+ day late. When I click on the hypertext it takes me to the account that has been late. It takes me directly to the NFCU Charge Off Account. Interesting. Maybe child support lates are not being figured into my credit score.
If this is the case, then between the NFCU Charge Off, and my current utilization of 71%....once those 2 things are changed I think I could possibly see 700s. Who knows. Could be totally off base here. my 2 credit card statement cut today 1/11 and the other on Saturday 1/13. Total utilization is already paid down to 15.9%. Excited to see how much of a difference I see in terms of score.

NFCU Charge-Off. My olest account of 11.5 years is actually a CO, but with lots of good payment history. Will this effect my AAoA, as well as Length of file when it is removed?
