Has anyone been able to switch from Capital One image card back to original?

I opened mine around April of 2020 so it's been about 2 years

I don't think the card has ever been "stainless," which is generally shiny silver metal. That said, Capital One sent me a replacement metal card a few weeks ago.

My personal opinion is that metal cards are somewhat of a pain because they're difficult to dispose of.

I have the grandfathered Savor card, and it's metal.  I had to call, request it, and they sent it in a regular plain envelope.

When was it delivered?

I have the metal Savor but I got it in 2019 so doubt that helps but curious if you're able to find a way  to get it again.  

Don't want to lose this metal card when it expires next Aug
