I look forward to seeing this card and the new "Elite" card.
Enjoy!
@Alephbet wrote:Thanks to everyone for their feedback. I received my new BofA Premium Rewards Visa Signature card today. I have the "standard" and not Merrill Lynch version and, indeed, the new card is metal! As others have stated about the ML version, this card feels very much like a Chase metal card with plastic on both sides and metal in the middle. It feels really nice and has a nice weight to it. The change to a metal card must have happened sometime between the middle of March 2021 and the summer of 2021. Thanks to all for your responses!
I can confirm the same. I received mine today -- didn't realize my original card was close to expiring.
So, the replacement is metal core (disclaimer confirms with the card carrier). Now, while I do like the durability of the new card, I'm not too crazy about the redesigned look. I really liked the former version, but nonetheless as long as it works, it's all good👍

What did the older card look like? I received mine originally in March 2021 so it looked exactly the same but was just all plastic.

Thanks for the confirmations on the new metal Premium Rewards cards, guys! This is good news, IMO. I also like a sturdy and attractive card, although they all "spend the same." Lol
@Alephbet, here is the "old" and "new" versions of the card that I had/have in my siggy. While I would really like something more like the Merrill Bull, I think the new design is an improvement. I always thought the old Cash and Premium Rewards cards looked like a car tire tread! The larger BofA logo is a nice effect. (*One of the old Bull cards included for comparison.)
@Aim_High Thanks for those pictures! I agree on the tire tread look. I much prefer the newer one. I do kind of like that bull also. I wonder if the new ML-affiliated card still has a bull on it or just looks like a regular Premium Rewards card now?

@Alephbet the old PR card had the logo on the front in the lower left and said Merrill Lynch. The new ones now put it on the back.
I'd love for BoA to give Merrill Lynch branded PRs the old bull card, but metal. I won't hold me breath.

Thanks for that info That old bull card would be amazing but oh well. Presumably you would only get the ML-branded PR card if you have a full ML account and whatever that entails as opposed to just using Merrill Edge?

I do not know for sure. I have my IRA through them and I don't use Merrill Edge.

Thanks for the response. I will have to look into it more.
