Re: Project Car(s)

I LOVE the Zcars!

I'm still daily driving my 2007 VW GTI, which is a project at times Smiley Wink

I have a 2002 Mustang GT with almost 300k on it that I left in FL when I moved to NYC . . . a friend has been using it as a second car and I drive it when I go to visit my family. She told me recently that she thinks the motor is shot, so I need to check that out and figure out what I want to do with it.

I search eBay almost daily for:

Foxbody Mustangs (used to have an '86)

Third Gen Camaros (used to have an '89 and then a '91)

Z-Cars

80s Supras

Dodge Daytona/Chrysler Laser

Mitsubishi Starion/Chrysler Conquest (my roommate has a mint '88 Quest)

Also love Bandit T/A's and Grand Nationals

Also potentially interested in completely random classic cars nobody cares about . . . 80s Cavalier Z-24, Ford Escort GT, 90s Bonneville, 80s GrandAms

I could keep going on. Haha.

On the mustang I'd upgrade from that 2v to a Terminator or Coyote.

My first car was a 93 Escort LX sedan hatch and I remember wanting a GT or swapping the DOHC into my LX. I've always liked their styling for some reason and I still would buy one today if they weren't all trashed.

Loved the Escort GT in the mid-80s! Fond of your era, too.

Would absolutely love to Coyote swap the '02 Mustang . . the body has a zillion miles on it, but it's never been wrecked and is rust free having spent it's life in FL. The hood needs a repaint, but the rest still shines up and the interior is good.

Also, how much fun would a Coyote swapped Fairmont Futura be?!?

When I worked at a Mitsubishi dealer it looked like a starion meet everyday. Lol. My mom had an Escort GT. It was fun, until it got totalled. I could do a mkiii Supra or a fc rx7. I think those would be fun.

I think the Starion was sooooo underappreciated. And I forgot to mention the RX-7! Saw a first gen on my way to work today.

My old neighbor had a first gen. He loved that thing so much.
