After completing the FICO-8 hat trick some 5 years ago and coasting for 3 years with perfect 850's, my scores took a 39 point hit earlier thus year. That was to be expected, as I leased a new car, then another car loan a few months later. My scores began to creep up again and last month I finally got them back to perfection. It's good to be back!
p.s. Not sure what happened with my username, but I hadn't logged in for a while and now all my previous posts are under "Anonymous". Is there any way to get this fixed?

Welcome back, and congrats on hitting the FICO jackpot again !
The site administrators earlier this year implemented a change whereby idle accounts are deleted and converted to Anonymous accounts, see this thread for details. Unfortunately there's no way to restore your previous account.
Congrats on getting back to 850!
@pizzadudeThe thread they posted is **bleep** near useless if they don't give us a time frame on how long before deletion happens. Is threre any info out there on how long the period of inactivity needs to be before our account is deleted (I couldn't find anything). It's the sort of info I consider mandatory for them to provide imo.
Edit : had no idea that the other spelling of dam is going to be a bleep.
Sorry @Zoostation1 , we weren't given any additional information about the timeframe for idle accounts to be deleted. I'll ask again if they can provide some clarification. I will say that I'm fairly certain it's in years not months though.
Thanks! I don't have any plans to quit the forum but it's just good info to have.

There is a way, but the administrators apparently don't want to spend the money. If the administrators cared about old information, then posts about credit cards that no longer exist would be removed. Posts about CC with a former financial institution listed as the issuer would be gone. The site is full of clutter. A member name didn't add to the clutter.

Early last year I could not get into my account (not receiving email for 2 factor ID verification). I called and was told that my account was dormant and my personal info had been deleted. The CSR said they do that for security reasons if an account has not been active for 2 years. She told me I could create a new account. I said that was not a viable option and that I had been on MyFico forums just 3 weeks ago.
She again checked and said records showed it was over 2 years since I had purchased a Fico product. I said participation on the forums was free and there was no requirement to purchase a service. (In my case both my service account and Free MyFico forum account used the same user name and pwd).
I asked to speak to a supervisor. I reiterated that my concern was access to and participation on the forums. I mentioned that creating a new account would cause me to lose lose my reply history and picture library. The supervisor agreed to investigate. I also submitted a troubleshooting ticket.
Subsequently, I received a call from some manager. After reviewing my situation, the manager said my account with history still existed in the system. They emailed a temporary pwd allowing my to regain access while keeping my user name and history intact. Perhaps I caught them in process before my account was deleted. In any event, they retrieved my account.

What were your Classic Fico 9 scores pre drop?
Strange a company that believes it must keep information for a decade or longer for it to give you a CS has an issue with two year old user names. A ten year history is potentially a better source of identity theft information then a user name.
