OK I thought you may have been testing something that's why I ask.
Not yet, but will be testing 9% utilization next month, and it July 10% utilization just to see what happens.
I think I am maxed out with these scores based on my credit profile until I can get some paid collections removed.
I had a open collection account removed and did not a score bump and it was a $2,143 debt but had a successful PFD. I thought it would help my score, but for some reason it did not.
@Anonymous when you have collections, usually you don't see the points until you remove them all, then the big points!
Understood. I had some movement on the first once that were deleted and they were only a couple of hundred bucks. I thought for this big one i would get some movement. But I guess not.

I started with over a dozen CAs and as they have been pfd/aged iff I have seen mostly zero score gains.
My SO also had several CAs and when the last one came off is when his scores shot uo ~40+/- pts.
Same with COs, while at least with COs (more revolving than installment COs, although I have gained some good points when large installment COs have come off) you can gain points from paying them due to util, when the last CO comes off a good boost happens. I gained ~70+/- pts when my last CO aged off my CR while still having 3 x CAs.
I could say the same for lates. I had over 130 (probably a lot more than that) lates age off and saw *zero* score boost since I still had other 120d+ lates on my reports. I assume when the last late comes off is when I will see the biggest bump in that regard.
So the biggest bump is from the last type of each derog coming off your reports. Not to say points cannot be gained from paying/settling/removing them along the way, just the biggest jump will not likely be until the last of a single type is gone (CO, CA, lates).
Good luck!

Thank you, I cant wait to get the others off. Its a lot of work. I am at the burn out status right now. Need to take a break dealing with collection companies. I will get started again in a month or so.
I have some news about loosing and gaining points back and how utilization.
I had accidently paid all my credit cards off. When they reported zero utilization I lost 20 credit score points on some of my cra's.
Then I allowed one of my credit cards to report $100 and then in a few days I gained my scores back. Now I have tested allowing two credit cards to report balances and here are how the results are.
All cards paid off 0% utilization: loss up to 20 credit score points
All cards paid off except for 1 allowing 1 percent utiliztion credit score remains same as siggy.
Allow two of four credit cards to report a balance 9% total utilization: same credit score as siggy.
DP's total credit limit $4,200.
One card shows $277 balance
2nd card shows $100 balance
Now reporting 9% utiliztion
No difference in credit score for 1-9% utilization.
Wow, maybe that's why my score never changed when it went from 7% utilization to 4% utilization . . . I still haven't "fully" grasped the whole scoring algorithm -and- utilization factoring -but- that's why I follow Birdman7!!!

That could be the reason. I am doing all kinds of testing on my profile right now. I am only testing because I have no plans of applying for any new accounts right now. Birdman is on point.
