Re: How many points did you gain after charge off paid?

I must also add, that the charge off that I paid for right before it fell off was also deleted.  I'm not sure if that would have mattered much as it was just about ready to fall off any way.  I just checked Credit Karma's "what changed" and it shows JUST the chargge offbeing paid raised my score by 35.  I would guess the rest was attributed to lowering of the utilization.  Mind you, these are also vantage 3.0 not Fico.

Re: Credit over 700 with paid charge-offs?

Yes. I paid off NFCU. Had an outstanding balance of 8200.00. I settled for 1800 and got a bump from 629 to 698 FICO on EX. The following month it went to 711. DOFD was in July 2016 but they changed it during a dispute to Aug 2016. Hopefully i can get EE with TU and get it off there next month for possibly another bump.

Hey there @Aspireto850, as this thread is over two years old, the chances of those folks being around and answering your question is pretty slim. You would be better served to start a new thread and ask your questions of the forum that way. Just my two cents.

Re: How many points did you gain after charge off paid?

There were 3 accounts that were approximately seven years old at the time (cc); PIF, points received were under 10. The accounts updated and the bureaus gave me about 15 points. Currently I requested from all 3 cars for early deletion. They are scheduled for this December 2023. From what I have studied and heard is that after removing those 3, it should be a score increase from 35 to 105 points increase.

Re: How many points did you gain after charge off paid?

I would like to ask you that the creditors are not agreeing to delete the account complete  and I can only afford settlement and not paid in full charge off - I want to buy home and car and I'm not getting anything now - what should I do ? Thank you

Re: How many points did you gain after charge off paid?

Since this kinda talks about paying a past due payment.. So say they get sold off unless they send something in the mail how do you know how to pay them? like I see stuff in my credit profile I want to pay but I haven't got anything from them to pay it down with.
