I am 1 balance update away from an AZEO test and AMEX is killing me - 6 days from statement close (paid it off) and they still haven't reported the $0 balance. Killing me.

I have seen multiple posts about AMEX not reporting over the past several weeks.

I've seen more of those posts as well! 7 days past closing here and still nothing at Experian.

@TheKid2 The plot thickens.

Thanks for the ping, this is VERY intertesting. If Collections are lumped into the PR scorecard, I can't really understand if that makes sense. CAs are very reasonable to get removed, in fact with many CAs a PFD is almost becoming standard. Yet, the other PRs like a judgment or BK - those aren't getting removed.

Now for someone like me with COs, which most say is the worst derog that's not a PR, if that's not in the PR scorecard that is even more interesting - how do the algos differentiate between 120 and a CO? Is 150 or 180 a real thing or does it go 120 -> CO? and if the algo is only scoring the WORST status on the account, it essentially ignores the payment history leading to the CO and just penalizes as a CO (almost like getting free lates). and if COs don't age at all, I don't see how much improvement I can make. Because this raises the obvious question I wanted to research next, what is the cap on the dirty scorecard?

@TheKid2 I've heard that about Amex but they reported for me today on time at Experian at least.

I thought collections put you in a PR card, but I wanted to make sure. (Thanks Rev!) It makes sense because a collection is an effort in addition to, above and beyond a CO. You are right they are easier to get removed, but that was not the perspective in creating the algorithm.

It appears it doesn't have to differentiate between 90 and 180, it appears to look at TPOD for the worst level of delinquency. With a 90, if it's updated and caught up to date, it knows that. If it's never updated, it stays frozen.

You're correct if you have a successive level of delinquency that's higher, the prior ones may be ignored in algorithms prior to version 8. It's my understanding there's some sort of algorithm looking for patterns of more than one delinquency in version 8 and above, but I don't know how it works.

I don't know the cap on a dirty card, but I know we've seen some high scores on dirty cards, many people have reached 760 I think I've read, some higher. But age is going to play a part and so is installment utilization. I don't remember if you have any loans but if not, the SSL strategy might be helpful for version eight.

wow - 760 with multiple COs seems a bit out of bounds, but when I look at people like firemedic with a BK and sitting in the 740s, I guess anything is possible if you work the FICO. This is definitely something I will be looking into more.

I think I'm good installment wise, albeit not <9% util so not maxxing. But, I have long history of multiple autos with no lates and a mortgage for a long time with no lates. 1 active auto and 1 active home.

BTW - thanks to Cassie and Ficoproblems for making me feel better about waiting on Amex!

JOINED 4/2020

FICO 8 = 582, 620, 589 / Mortgage = 633, 526, 581

CURRENT PEAK *Thanks to the MF Community!

FICO 8 = 715, 711, 720 / Mortgage = 688, 696, 681

@TheKid2 I said 760 on a dirty card. It only takes a 60 day late to put you in a dirty delinquency card. So considering COs, I don't know if they can reach the same heights or not.

Your installment history is only good for a couple credit mix points. Getting to 9% Ag is when you get some points.
