i know alot of people dont like them, but they are ok i guess..my question is how do they work w/cli? do you have to call? it's it automatic, are they hard or soft hits??  any info would be greatly appreciated..

do they ever  do cli on activation? probably not but just wondering.

Yup, my credit was in the toilet when I first got a card from VS.  I app'd for Ann Taylor on the same day and got the "NO WAY IN ____!" message.

Just treat them well, PIF to avoid the criminal APR and you should be good to go!  (Make sure you register your birthday on their angel site so you can get that little bonus 10 dollar gift card thingie.)

And most of all, CONGRATS!  It's a very pretty card!

(But so help me GAWD if I spend 1900 dollars there at once!)

hahaha well i didnt get vs i got avenue so i dont know if some are harder or easier to get than others...i got a low cl but like i said i was suprised with a bk i got one at all..

Yeah, I've been trying to figure out the same thing with my Newport News card.  I just want to hit that online luv button so bad, but I have only had the card a couple months.

With J.Crew, I got the first CLI after calling them up and asking if we could start up my card after my credit coma, and they said yes. The next one was after my 20 year old got a new card with a $750 CL, and I got offended and hit the CLI button with an immediate increase to $1K, so I guess it must have already been in the system, just ready to go. This would be a little over 6 months after the other one, so I'm thinking that they do an auto every six months, if they like what you've been up to.

I have to retract what I've posted before and report that my card just spontaneously updated a second month in a row, without my begging, threatening, disputing, or even plain old asking. And that was without a statement dropping, and with a $0 balance. So, sorry WFNNB, and I guess you're back off Death Row again.
