BofA CLI question

As part of our 2020 credit card strategy we shifted some spend around and are making her Premium Rewards card one of our main personal drivers going forward while my own PR card will shift to business spend entirely to help allieviate the glut of MR points we have. The interesting thing is when she went to check her account online to get ready to request an increase there was no link on there to ask for one. Double checked with another browser to make sure it wasn't a website issue and my account as well.

So I have several questions here regarding that. Assuming we want to wait til the SP language (link) shows up what's the timeline if one has already waited this long for it if at all? Her approval was back in April of last year which is why I was so surprised it not being there. And assuming we don't want to wait is it possible to call in and take the HP if needed to get the increase? The average spend on the card has been $1k-$2k a month but that will change

TIA to anyone with some answers. I'll be calling them probably Friday about this but some answers beforehand would be nice

Re: BofA CLI question

I'm not sure what the timeline is for hyperlink for the Request a credit line increase to appear. I think it's around ~ 90 days once your account is set up?

Nada there. I'm more curious than anything on why it's not there. Even trying to search it through the help topic main page didn't help. Supposedly you can call if the link isn't there but I have no clue with the recent SP changes to CLIs whether it's still a SP, HP or not even being able to until they say you're ready

Re: BofA CLI question

DH had not gotten his either. I do not know if it's because we are still in the promotional BT window and are using it (about 5k out of 14k, we are BT-cleaning up his personal debt from starting a small business). We actually called to see if he could get a small CLI of like 2k and they denied him. Scores were 740ish due to util at the time. Are you still in a promotional window (0% purchases or some such) maybe? I'm wondering if that is tied to the soft CLI button showing up. Regardless, it is absent for us as well.

Desired BK recovery line up complete 7/12/2021. Planning to garden until 8/2023 and potentially try for AMEX.

Nope, no BTs or promotional periods to speak of here. As far as I'm aware at least especially with the Premium Rewards card. Balance gets PIF pretty much as soon as statement posts and she's a Platinum Honors holder. May I ask how soon after approval of the card did you ask? And did they inform you if it would be a SP or HP as well?

Re: BofA CLI question

I'm not sure why it's not there. If the approval was back in April, it should have been there by now.

For a data point, I did call in once for a CLI request back in 3rd quarter of 2018. Denied. No hard pull. All my other request have been online.

ETA. I can't recall if I had the hyperlink or not at that time. It probably wasn't there. Thus, I called in.

Last shot...

Log in from desktop/laptop then under Accounts -> Bank of America Premium Rewards Visa Signature -XYZZ select the Information and Services tab along the bottom.

Under Services you should see "Manage Your Account" along the bottom left and right under that look for "Update email address" and right below that "Request credit line increase", just above "Add an authorized user".

~ 6 months old.

2nd card approved back in July. Link showed up in ~90 days.
