Discover IT CLI pointers?

I ask every month when my new statement cuts. Sometimes they give me $500 so far never more than that

That's fine, you took an HP for additional increase, but that is not double dipping according the definition on the mother thread (1st post on page 1), double dipping means you call in to claim what is left on the table, if any, after SP CLI, Discover is known to offer half (or less) of what you qualify for when granting auto/manual SP CLIs.

In reality there is no such thing as a double dip hotline. Thats just the number to regular Discover Cs. Ive never received any double dip nor even a chance at hp cli

A 6k increase on sp , with Discover is amazing! But no wsy are they double dipping there as they gave you the whole table not just the scraps lol. Thats why when you wanted more they offered it via hp.

In a much older topic here that concerned double-dipping at Disc., it seems that what was described is what I did in June. The CSR did ask at that time,"You want to see if there's any more?". That topic is also where I got the phone number.

This forum is the unchallenged best for credit info.Nothing else comes close. However, a great deal of the info provided seems contradictory, according to each member's likes, dislikes, whims or mood. For example, if I'd listened to the vast majority on my post about my then-upcoming BCP CLI, I wouldn't have gotten the triple increase I did.

So, why doesn't a member post a topic describing in detail how to do a Discover double dip. I'll read it with interest. And, maybe next time I won't freakin' forget to make the call after a CLI.

I just did my first manual CLI on my 13 month old discover card earlier tonight online, was offered $300 increase. I had 2 failed previous attempts, plus 2 small auto increases, but I never tried DD sadly. Don't want to make the mistake a 3rd time.

Since I did my CLI after 8pm ET time, should I wait until the morning to call them for the DD since i have that 24 hr. window or can I still do it tonight? My new CL is 2900

I just gave them a call about the DD, they said my CL can be raised to 3600 from 2900 😁 How soon should I see that reflected in my account? I forgot to ask about that. Should I be getting an email, don't want to have to call back & have another CR refuse the offer

Very quickly, for me it was a simple log out and log back in. 

Congrats on your increase.
