Re: Mercury Mastercard CLI

I've had mine since June 2020. Always PIF. No increases at all. SL of $500. And so it sits.

Re: Mercury Mastercard CLI

I know this is an old post, but wanted to share my experience with the card if anyone was trying to learn about them.

I opened the card 1/21 with a $1000, after my June statement cut I received an email that my credit line had been increased up to $1,900.

I had only used the card twice for purchases under $20 then paid off once they posted.

The weird thing is I also received an email with a $25 statement credit when I spend $250. I also received one of those emails right after I opened the card, but didn't capitalize on it. This most recent one I did, but haven't received the statement credit yet, but my statement for July hasn't posted for this yet (balance has already been paid).

So over all I do like this card and that I got an auto increase. I honestly wasn't expecting it to grow at all, and just apped after I got the mailer as another line of credit for just in case.

They may do random SP every so often to see if you're eligible for limit increases and may do it as an incentive to use the card more.

Re: Mercury Mastercard

I had never heard of Mercury either until Barclay got rid of the Sallie Mae card and Mercury ended up with it..  But, no issues with them so far.  I remember researching them when I received the conversion letter from Barclay.  At that time, people could not do a cold application to get the card, they had to be invited.  Don't know if that is still true or not.

Re: Mercury Mastercard CLI

As bizarre as this sounds i got a cli from mercury after my 1st statement. i did not pay in full, 3k-3350. i just made my 2nd payment.

I was unaware a cli could be granted so quickly. i have mid 600's scores and a 1.5 year old bk7 on my report as well as moderate income, a head scratcher.

Re: Mercury Mastercard

Yeah, same here, the thing is I have 5650 credit line for this card, but never got a CLI after barclays sold it to them. Do you know where to find the love CLI button on the mercury website?

Re: Mercury Mastercard

I have never located the LUV button on their site, I believe you have to call and make a request or wait for an auto increase.

Re: Mercury Mastercard CLI

I got my Mercury MC in mid 2020. At around 3 months they automatically bumped me from 1500.00 to 2750. I got the same 25.00 statement credit offer and sure enough got the 25.00 a few weeks later. Been waiting on another CLI but no DICE. I do not use the card often. Just my 2 cents!
