They have finally sent a new message back.
"Thank you for your message. Because we take our members' requests seriously, we conducted a second review of your application. However, after careful consideration, we have determined that we must stand behind our original decision due to you did not qualify for the minimum opening credit limit for this account. We regret that we are not able to reach a more favorable decision at this time. If we can be of any further assistance, please let us know."
So same data point as usual. 
I'm gonna see if they can use the same application towards the More Rewards. The internal limit must be closer to 10K if my thought process is correct?
I might just lick my wounds and get my Hilton Honors Amex that I have saved for a rainy day for a quick soft pull
