Workingfor850 - very well put! I was just trying to get a rewards card so I could use NFCU more. The card showed up on my account this morning and has an APR of 10.49%! The lowest they offer for this card and 1 pt lower than my Platinum! I would say they certainly made good on the card! I still have a smile on my face!
When I joined, I was looking to diverse my banking (my/our main acounts are a CU) and have usuable money avaiable if my main bank was comprimised. I am already in the process to add her to to all the accounts at NFCU and start moving towards giving NFCU a more prominent roll in my banking. My other CU is a local and right by my house, so they will always be used.
Aduke- No hard pull.....so far...lol

Join NFCU yesterday and got instant approved for 24k cash reward and $15k CLOC! Yayyy
Should I go ahead applying for the flagship or wait for few months?
Thanks
I was in a similar boat (23.5k CC day I joined, 15k CLOC a couple months later)...I waited until the first CC was approved for a CLI then applied for a second CC a couple weeks later.
All told, it was probably 4 months after the first CC that I app'd for the second.
Depending on your profile and their internal scoring of it, you might be able to get the second CC now...
@hnguyen welcome to the forum! We are happy to have you with us!
Congrats on the new card and cloc from Navy. I'm with sdsoccerdad on this. IMHO, I would wait as well. I got my Cash Rewards (SL $4600) and CLOC ($15K) in September '16. In January, after 90 days, three statements and a fresh AR, I got a CLI on the CR to $22K. I apped the same day for the 2nd card and got it (SL $5500).
You didn't mention what the SL is on your new card but in any case, I would suggest just using the card, waiting at least until you have the 3-90-AR and then possibly apping for the second card at that time.
When I think about how much credit NFCU extends to members right from the start and then how generous they are with CLI's, it boggles my mind. I tough it out with Discover to get an extra $200 CLI every couple of months lol and Navy has shown me $42500 worth of love in the first 100 days as a member with a newer Chapter 7 discharge. They truly are an amazing financial partner for all of us.
I look forward to following your journey @hnguyen!

I was fortunate to receive a little increase about a week ago. Is it pretty "safe" to assume that I may be approved if I apply for a 2nd card today?

I don't think you can really know if it's safe or not per se. It all depends on what your risk profile looks like to NFCU. If that second card with them fits your credit goals, you don't mind the hard pull, and ok with the possibility of a denial then go for it.
