So, in the waning days of 2023, I applied for the (Chase) Amazon Prime card.
They couldn't provide an immediate decision online (7-10 days ...).
I was 2/12 | 4/24 (a (now closed) HELOC and 3 cards, the most recent being March '23).
So now 3/12 | 5/24 but, come April, I'll be 3/12 | 4/24.
Presumably, the HELoan that I took out mid '23 was not factored in, or it would've triggered the 5/24 exclusion.
FICO 8's were 82x through 84x. Income north of 6 figures.
Chase had already extended to me the Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex, and Sapphire Preferred ($20K, $20K, $34K).
The approval email arrived yesterday, confirming the $150 gift card (which, along with the 5%, was the motivation). Interestingly, the email specified an initial $5K limit but, upon logging in, I saw a $10K limit.
More than enough for Amazon purchases, and provides an offset to the weird way that the Affinity 'Cash' Rewards card now works.
Happy New Year.
