I just noticed capital one is offering me a product upgrade from a basic Platinum to a Quicksilver. I recently started using my Platinum card again, and I will keep using it in the future. However, I was aiming on upgrading it to a Savor One. Should I just go ahead and accept the upgrade, and aim to upgrade it to a Savor One in the long run?
Quicksilver is better than Platinum! So take the PC.
Cap1 sees the Savor line differently than other core cards that they have, so you may not be able to get that upgrade offer. I don't have it on my Venture and never had it for my QS! Only handful of people have reported that they received Savor line PC option.
I'd accept the upgrade. Cap1 does sometimes offer QS-->Sav1 upgrades, but I've never heard of them offering Sav1 directly from the Plat. My wife got the QS-->Sav1 offer earlier this year, and her QS started as a Plat.
I do not have a Platinum, but if I did I -think- I would take the upgrade to QS.
On a different but similar note, I just checked for giggles to see if I had any upgrade offers for my Quicksilver and Savor One.
Quicksilver PC offers: Savor One, Venture One, Venture
Savor One PC offers: Quicksilver, Venture One, Venture
Who thinks I should swap my cards?
Quicksilver > Savor One and Savor One > Quicksilver

I think so. Progress is progress.
I check weekly. No soup for me.
had the plat for three years.
started as a secured then graduated after 6 months. Still no upgrade offers

I went ahead and accepted it. Now my next milestone is to get a higher credit line on that card.
Just remember to use it responsibly and regularly to greatly increase your chances of the CLI.
As others have mentioned, the QS to Savor One upgrade appears at random for a small number of cardholders. Keep checking regularly as you never know when it may show up. I suspect you may need a higher limit first before this starts to show for you, but hopefully soon if this is your goal.

That would make sense. Yeah I've also had this capital one card for over a year but never really used it due to it having zero benefits. Now that I understand better how to handle my credit cards I started using it again and boom, the offer appeared. I'm aiming to get a credit line increase in the next 3 months.
Thanks for your feedback.
@CYBERSAMIs your venture a Visa or MC? My understanding is that Capital One won't PC anything that's a Visa to SavorOne since it has only been issued as MC.
