Nice to see things worked out well for you. Congrats

She was super nice and understoof my situation perfectly.
Although I did take a hard pull and was denied for a CLI
Its okay, will try to recon this.
Does reconning CLI work?
Nice! Glad it all worked out CLI denial notwithstanding 🍸
@K-in-Boston wrote:IME reconning a denied CLI request just resulted in more pulls with a lengthy interrogation from a Chase credit analyst. Unless there are really extenuating circumstances for why you were denied, I'd just give it some time.
Congrats on your reinstatement!
Yes, congrats on the reinstatement and at this point, let the denial of CLI go. I can imagine a scenario where you recon, somehow the old bad credit report is brought up which leads to closure, and you have to go through the whole process again.

This is one of those "leave well enough alone" type of situations. Congrats on getting your account reinstated though.
+1
Grats on the reinstatement! And yeah I would just let the CLI go right now and try again in 6-12 months.
After reading this I'm glad it worked out and appreciate the full disclosure of info. I have to hold a beer up and cheers to you for pulling a CLI request after reinstatement .
Well, I was at $22,600 , now I'm at $6100...
It was probably only decreased because of the inaccuracies on my credit report which are now fixed so I thought asking for a CLI was justifiable.
Seems like Chase is also very balance sensitive.
I called underwriting and spoke to some guy. I have pretty good Experian score which is 730, 2 inquiries, and about 33% Utilization. No Negatives.
He wanted to know why I ran my Chase card to $18,000 in February. I told him times were tough but I worked through it and as you can see my balance is now only $2,000.
I had a pretty high balance on my US Bank card which he questioned and I said I was just transferring a lot of spend on my Chase to the US Bank card. I then said I can make a payment if necessary.
He put me on hold for 4 minutes and I was Denied. I thought I had a chance.
He did hint at the fact that my US Bank was high and I asked if I paid it off would that be better. Hes like I cant give that kind of advice because its due to credit limits but it will help. You have 30 days to call us and reconsider as well.
I'm going to pay my US Bank card down to like $1,000 or lower. See if this works and call back lol.

Congrats on your reinstatement. Good luck on recon! Chase doesn't like high balance carry, so when USBank reports lower, a much better position for you to ask.

Don't try to recon the CLI. Just be happy you got your account back.

You are a brave soul OP. To call Chase and question your credit limit while having 33% utilization reporting takes guts.
