How frequently would the US Bank AR receive auto CLI?

A few months ago, I PCed my Cash+ to AR with a CL of 13k. A few days ago, it silently received an auto CLI and the CLI bumped to 18k. 

How frequently would the US Bank AR receive auto CLI? Does it depend on the large spends that I place on the card and PIF? Or does it depend on using the card frequently for daily expenses?

I have the other US Bank cards while the CL of two were stuck to 5k and 10k for a few years.

I can contribute one data point for you.  I received one CLI 13 months after opening my Altitude Reserve account.  This occurred one month after an unusually large volume of purchases.  Previous CL was $20k; purchased $6k; new CL was $25k.

I have two other non-AR cards with US Bank, neither of which has ever received any CLI.  A $20k limit card's largest monthly volume was $2k, and a $10k limit card's largest monthly volume was $3k but those were mostly due to meeting the minimum spend requirements for the SUBs.

I had a 4k spend on the AR card some days ago and I am wondering whether such transaction possibly triggered the atuo CLI.

I have small monthly spends on the other cards (~$100) that might explain the reasons that such cards did not grow.

I have had the AR for several years (6?) and have not received  a CLI.   I put ~ $50K a year on it.   My much less used Cash+ did get an auto-CLI at some point.

They issued my cash+ card perhaps 18 months ago. It came with 16K limit and hasn't changed.  I haven't request more and I don't expect more. I will never use even a fraction of what I have now for my utilities, etc.

I've never gotten a auto CLI on any of my USB cards.  Heavy use always.  I'm considering moving away from USB because I can't grow the limits.

Totally agree on the non AR cards. Never received a CLI. Somewhat light usage, always PIF. Must admit I never requested an increase.

But.. with my normal "growth isn't everything" message, consider if the cards are useful as is.   If you are getting decent rewards and are not near the limit, they might be as good as any "growth" card.

i.e. Cards don't need to grow (IMO, a myfico disease!) to be useful.
