New Nordstrom Black card~Icon status😳

@FinStar, word on the street is (well info from my phone call today, lol), that the CC for Icon card holders only, is being made by an entirely different manufacturing company (separate from who makes their current cards), the reason being is that the card is going to be "heavier". mmmm, metal card?? No word yet on when the Icon members will receive them, and the rep made it sound like "it could possibly" be this year still, but not likely. But, who knows, always take what you hear from a rep with a grain of salt.

I thought Nordstrom would have higher spend requirements like Bergdorf/Neiman’s In Circle. Their top level is Chairman with $600,000 annual minimum spend. I can’t imagine what you buy to get there, but I know a few who regularly make it to President’s Circle (> $75K) before April.

As much as i want this card, i would rather put spend on my Amex card towards the membership rewards. Wife on the other hand will probably get the icon card. Lol.

Maybe for 1 year, but spending over $600K year-over-year at one department store?  Eventually won’t you have all the furs, bedding, dishes, and diamonds you want?  Maybe I just don’t have the imagination.

Although I would be able to regularly spend that much on luxury travel and haute couture (not necessarily the gowns) etc... — just not department store offerings, not even Bergdorf’s.

I went to my mailbox today and found this square Nordstrom box in silver wrapping. Upon opening i found the invitation only Black Metal Nordy Visa Card-for Icon Status Members. The spend is 15 grand annually and it resets annually. It’s a shame I didn’t realize how much money I was spending at Nordy annually but I so love the store. So yeah,the rumors are true, Nordy has a black card.

The actual card. It’s black and metal. I was trying to find a way to upload a picture of it. It comes already activated as well with a note saying your plastic card will be deactivated in 45 days.

I barely made Ambassador level....no way will I make Icon at a single store lol.
