Pretty sure Cap1 won't give me the time of day at this point. Every time I go there to see if I'm prequalified for anything, I get the same crappy, bottom-of-the-line cards. I got the Venture last year after opening a ton of cards with various other banks, but was instantly approved for a $10k limit. It was listed in my prequalify search though. I know it'd be a wasted hard pull if I tried for this. I could sure use that $750 though. I loved the weight and feel of that card too. Heavier than the CSP. And so easy to redeem the miles.
You're doing better than me... the last time I had a pre-qual offer for a Capital One card was over a year ago. ![]()
My last approval with them was January 2017, and was for a Venture MasterCard with a 50k bonus. I didn't use the card that much, and before the AF came due I changed it to a Quicksilver. I'm currently using it for a BT (I had a 2%/18 month offer) but it never gets swiped.
I don't expect them to be very interested in me for a while, if ever. ![]()

Just checked mine. I actually have a pre-approval for the Venture.
Getting approved for it would be a completely different story I bet.
Experian is clean which is what C1 uses for pre-approvals but the other 2 are dirty. I'm at 16/24 I think

I'm at 9/24; in January I'll be at 4/24 and I might check the pre-qual again if the 75k offer is still available.
All my reports are clean, though, and even my HPs are low. In my case the only 'complaint' they could have is the number of new accounts, or possibly the total number of accounts, which for me is around 20.

Cap1 doesn't care about clean files lol.. The more dirty the better as they think they will get interest
.. If you are pre-approved you have a good shot if it is a set apr.. Suprised you are to be honest as you have picked up quite a few cards recently if I recall you correctly.
Can this 75K offer be redeemed for $750 cash back?
@CleanCredit wrote:Can this 75K offer be redeemed for $750 cash back?
GC's or travel reimbursements or to partners apparently now, you can do cash back but it will be less than 750, not sure what cash back is on this card devalution. Might be half, but someone more in the cap1 echo system will know better than myself

It is 0.5 cent/pt for cashback so a horrible redemption.

+1
You definitely need to redeem against travel charges or gift cards with a Venture. They generally aren't picky about what counts as 'travel' from what I understand, though.
