WF Propel CLI Requests

Today marks me having the WF Propel 3-months.

Has anyone been successful with getting a CLI at the 3 month mark?

It's my understanding that a CLI is now a SP via calling the CSR.

as far as I know, it's only a hp CLI.

Re: WF Propel CLI Requests

Given the current situation and that Wells tends to be on the conservative side to begin with, I'd probably suggest a 6 month wait, but someone with firsthand Wells CLI experience can chime in.

I'm also not aware of Wells doing SP for CLI ever, but maybe something has changed. I'd expect a HP.

I was hoping for this card! But HP CLI would not be appealing.

I can confirm it has been a sp when you call. You can even ask them before going through with it. I definitely would wait 6 months at least as 3 seems too soon for WF.

Re: WF Propel CLI Requests

I just want to clarify, it can be a SP when calling in, if that is NOT available the CSR will ask you to continue,

again if the SP is not available, then they will state that, and ask if you want to continue?

Then after you give them permission to continue, then it will be a HP.

I have not read any DP's on people getting them before 6 Months.

All above is my personal experience, having called in three separate times.

WF is VERY conservative, and CLI's  ... well that language is almost non existent in their world.

If you do get a WF CLI, better go buy a Lotto ticket, because it is your lucky day! ... JMHO

Re: WF Propel CLI Requests

I have the Platinum CC for WF and I can confirm that if you call over the phone you can request a SP CLI. I think 3 months may be a little early, but I don't know bc this is one of my oldest cards.

You can ask for the SP and they will read your some verbage and ask a few questions. They'll ask how much you want for the increase. Then they will tell you whether you are approved, denied, or offer you a counter. If you are denied or reject the counter THEN it will be a HP if you proceed. I've done this 2-3 times with much success.

Hope that helps.

Thanks @TG10X and to everyone else who replied.

Consensous from this thread is I need to wait longer.

I think I will revisit a CLI request 3-months from now at the 6-month mark  Smiley Happy
