Re: Experian SP for "COURT"?

Probably some clown that works for Experian that likes freaking others out for kicks. Maybe somebody will sue them for mental anguish. Court would alert anyone.

It stands for courtesy! It's a soft pull before a hard pull. If you notice each time you apply for a major purchase or apply for a credit card it will do a courtesy pull or soft pull and will be listed under COURT. It freaked me out when I seen it and made many calls to clarify this. Hope this helps!

That's exactly what I've been noticing. Phew... Thanks for helping us all get to the bottom of it!

Re: Experian SP for "COURT"?

I found out that the dates on my soft inquiry directly coordinates with the dates that I purchased a gun.  It appears that they are running background checks to maintain identity verification.

That has absolutely nothing to do with it. NICS checks don't touch your credit report at all.

Thanks. It freaks me out. It does correlate with the hard pulls when I applied for the Wells Fargo and Chase credit cards
