Newegg Store Credit

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone with bad credit has had experience with applying for and getting accepted for Newegg's store credit. It seems like they might be pretty liberal about it, but I honestly have no clue and don't want to risk running a hard pull without having some inormation on their underwriting.

Thanks

Re: Newegg Store Credit

It depends on what you are looking to buy. If it's electronics/computers, there's Bestbuy (not sure if it's for bad credit), Amazon (Chase has become stricter now) and Walmart.

My bet would be on Walmart. Try giving it a shot. You may get 300 or at best 500 limit but it's a good start.

Re: Newegg Store Credit

I'm looking to use it for electronics. I need a new monitor for work so those are generally pretty enexpenisve for what I need. I have zero interes in BestBuy. Really just looking for a store card to help my score out since it's in the mid 500s

Re: Newegg Store Credit

Yeah I was just looking at them. Some intersting stuff. Even though it's a store card, I'm super weary of getting a hard pull just to be rejected since my score is in the 500s.

Re: Newegg Store Credit

OK, here's the deal. If you don't want to risk being rejected but willing to pay a little more in instalments, Fingerhut is for you.

I don't usually recommend but for low 500s, there's a definite chance of getting approved. But be aware, you may end up paying $150 for a $100 monitor (even though it's in instalments)....good thing is they approve poor credit and CLIs and CB reporting happen regularly.
