ill do some due diligence. when i went to request another card they said you need name and “au’s” SSN for it to remain activated.. however i think the spend limits are possible

I'd love to know how adding an authorized user gets you additional cards or an increased credit limit.

 

We've had thread discussions before and its clear you see credit as some sort of game to be played.  Hopefully it doesn't backfire on you.

 

Just because the charges were removed does not mean your account will not be subjected to significant scrutiny from Amex; they will still conduct a detailed investigation.  In another thread you mentioned spending several times your limit and having to make weekly payments, essentially frequently cycling your limit.  All you're doing is putting more eyes on your account.  What if after Amex's investigation they conclude that the disputed charges were not from theft/misplaced credit card but from questionable activity on your account?

dude are you serious?? whats so questionable about using a 4k limit and paying it off within the month? or how an additional card (read my last reply) was stolen and used 3 hours away from home..  (Mod cut - Please keep replies in a Friendly, Supportive and Respectful manner). 


you have AMEX cards and tbh am blatantly surprised you still dont realize to get another PHYSICAL CARD you HAVE to add another user and for that card to remain active you have to add their SSN.. you’re over here talking about increased credit limits with 2 physical cards... good logic.

@elixerinSerious question... what was the point of adding someone as an authorized user to your Amex account?  As I recall you have an Cash Magnet card with a $4K limit, and a credit profile that is barely one year old, and an Average Age of Accounts that is significantly less than one year.  I simply don't see how such a young, thin credit profile is helpful to an authorized user, especially when Amex does not backdate credit history,  but perhaps I'm missing something.


In my case, I've added my mother-in-law because she's on disability. She gets embarrassed that she can't afford to pay for lunch with her friends or buy something when they are out shopping. She's added on an amex and a MasterCard for when amex isn't accepted.

In this thread you're praising Amex on how they handled your fraud case, and in your other one, you're attempting to dispute valid HPs because you dont like them.

That's an entirely legitimate purpose.  But I'm sure you have a much more solid credit history, and you aren't engaging in what appears to be retail arbitrage on a personal card.

praise was for a good acknowledgement.. how all cc issuers should handle situations. As that being my first fraud case i wanted to share my good experience
